How to add alternative text to an image

Why should I add alternative text to an image?

Images serve as great visual tools to provide more context, and on a tile it can provide more insight to visitors thus encouraging them to click on the proposal tile.

When building your site, it’s important to have accessibility in mind. If you want to reach out to as wide an audience as possible, you have to be inclusive with image content. When people using screen readers access your website, it is important to describe your images appropriately to help them understand what image was uploaded. This would help them feel comfortable enough to engage with your consultation.
