When to add Milestones to your Timeline?
On the timeline page, you’ll be able to add milestones for each event. This helps respondents understand what they’re contributing towards and how their feedback will be used for on-going consultations and engagements. Not only does it help with future events, but it also shows the progression from previous engagements and consultations, which can also be highlighted.
Top Tip
With milestones and timelines you can better inform your audience, providing them progress updates about your consultation. Your audience will feel they are part of your consultation.
How to add Milestones to your Timeline
1. Click on the blue Edit page button at the bottom right of your home screen.
2. Once in the the website editor, click on the top left drop down menu and select Timeline
3. On the left-hand side you’ll see the existing milestones on the timeline. In the middle of the page you’ll see a preview of the content, and on the right hand side you will be able to edit the content.
On each milestone you can edit the following:
- Name
- From / To (Date fields)
- Description (Keep it short and to the point)
- Stage (Active, Planned, Completed)
Once you’ve made any changes, remember to save by clicking on the blue Save button.
